Benefit Updates for 2023:

The following changes will be effective January 1, 2023. If a benefit is not listed below, it will not be changing for 2023. Details of all Marathon Petroleum benefit plans can be found in the 2023 Marathon Petroleum Benefits Guide.
MPC Health Plan
Employee monthly contributions will increase for both options in 2023.
Kaiser HMO*
Health Plan contributions for the Kaiser Northern California option will decrease. The contributions for the Kaiser Southern California option Employee + Family coverage will increase. All other tier levels will decrease. For more information, please call Kaiser at 1-800-278-3296.
* The Kaiser Health Plan is only available to members with a permanent residence within the Kaiser California service area (N. CA or S. CA).
Dental Plan
Monthly Rates for Employee + Child(ren) and Employee + Family tiers will increase.
Annual Deductibles
The Deductible for the Saver HSA Plan will increase in 2023. Due to cost of living adjustment rules, the IRS has increased the High Deductible Health Plan minimum annual deductible. The annual deductible for the Saver HSA plan will increase to $1,500 for those enrolled in employee only coverage and will increase to $3,000 for those who have dependents enrolled. The Out of Network Deductible will also increase to $3,000 for Employee Only coverage and $6,000 for Employee + Dependent(s) coverage.
Health Savings Account
Marathon provides an HSA contribution to employees who enroll in the Saver HSA Plan option and elect the HSA. Employees enrolled in Employee Only coverage, will receive $500 and those enrolled in Employee + Dependent(s) coverage will receive $1000. Company contributions will be paid in equal installments each pay period that you are a participant in the HSA. (Per IRS regulations, participants in the Saver HSA Plan option become eligible to participate in the HSA, beginning the first day of the month on or after their enrollment). Partial year participants will receive a pro-rated Company contribution based on the number of pay periods they are enrolled in the HSA. (To receive the full Company contribution you would need to be a participant in the HSA for all 26 pay periods of the year)

Contribution limits will be increasing in 2023. The annual contribution limit for the HSA for Employee Only Coverage will be $3,850 and for Employee + Dependent(s) coverage, $7,750.
Casual Employees and Interns
In 2023, Casual Employees and Interns will be eligible for the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
Casual employees who are eligible for MPC’s Health insurance due to meeting the minimum required hours, will also be eligible to enroll in MPC’s Dental and Vision Plans.
Future Moms Name Change
Anthem’s Future Moms Program will be changed to “Building Healthy Families” effective January 1, 2023. Same great resource, same great incentives.
