2017 Benefits Open Enrollment

It’s that time of year - Benefits Open Enrollment! This is your annual opportunity to make changes to your benefits coverage, unless you experience a qualifying life event. That makes now a great time to learn about your benefit options and understand what’s changing. Any benefit changes you make now will go into effect January 1.

Before making changes, be sure to:

  • Read the Benefits Open Enrollment materials to find out exactly what’s changing for 2017. Key changes and additions include:
    • Anthem’s LiveHealth Online
      • See a doctor 24/7 via your mobile device or computer with a webcam.
    • Premiums
      • Premiums for Employee Only and Employee + Children coverage levels will remain the same for both Health Plan options.
      • Slightly higher premiums for Employee + Spouse and Family coverage levels for both Health Plan options.
      • Slightly higher Dental Plan premiums for all coverage levels.
    • New provider
      • MetLife will provide our Life Insurance, AD&D and Occupational Accidental Death coverage (currently with Minnesota Life).
  • Join us on Facebook to receive Benefits Open Enrollment updates and details.
  • Use ALEX, if you’re an active employee, to help you navigate your benefit options.
  • Review your current benefit elections online. If you’re a Pre-65 Retiree or on a leave of absence, review your current benefit elections on the Personalized Benefits Summary that is included in your Benefits Open Enrollment packet.
  • Contact Marathon Petroleum’s Benefits Service Center, your internal team of benefit experts, to assist you with any questions you have.
  • Access detailed information about all of Marathon Petroleum’s benefit plans under “Notices and Plan Documents.”

Anthem’s LiveHealth Online

LiveHealth Online – Medical

Anthem’s LiveHealth Online offers you the opportunity to see a doctor “virtually” anywhere. Whether you are at home, in the middle of a road trip or at the office, you can now speak to a doctor immediately via your smartphone, tablet or computer with a webcam. Anthem’s LiveHealth Online is available for members of the Marathon Petroleum Health Plan. Unfortunately, this service is not yet available in Texas. However, employees who live in Texas can use this service when traveling out of state on business or vacation.

LiveHealth Online – Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

You can now use LiveHealth Online to have a video visit with a psychologist or licensed therapist “virtually” anywhere as part of the EAP. If you’re feeling stressed, worried or having a tough time, you can talk to a therapist from your home or wherever you have internet access and privacy. It’s easy to use and, in most cases, you can see a therapist within four days or less. LiveHealth Online use for EAP services is available in all 50 states, including Texas.
